Local team needs new players

Clement Masuku, head coach says the newly formed team now plays in the Geluksdal Local Football Association (GLFA).

He says before the formation of the association, his only U/17 team played friendly games with the teams affiliated to different local associations.

Masuku explains that his team is different from all the other teams in the townships.

“The team is not only aimed at keeping players busy but at ensuring their talent is not only recognised in the township, but at pushing them to play at a professional level,” says Masuku.

He continues to explain that at the moment they are focusing on having only the U/17 team until they are confident enough that all the players are the best on the pitch before introducing other team divisions.

The team meets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Letsie Primary School in Tsakane for their training sessions at 4pm until 6pm.

Anyone who is between the age of 15 and 17 years and interested in joining the team, can visit the team during training sessions.
