Lethabo, the best striker

Lethabo Madihlaba (11) is not just a soccer player, rather he is the Junior Spinners' scoring machine.

The 11-year-old from KwaThema is one of the young players on whom the community of Kwatsaduza prides itself due to his incredible soccer talent on the field.

After playing three games since the start of the Springs Local Football Association (SLFA) junior league after the December break, Lethabo has already registered 15 goals to his name.

He said his secret of being the best striker for his team is obeying the rules and listening to his coach during the team’s training sessions.

“The support from my family is also what encourages me not to lose focus but work towards achieving my goals,” said an excited Lethabo.

Adding that he dreams of playing in a professional league one day.

Lethabo believes that his hard work is what will see him have a brighter tomorrow.

Speaking about Lethabo’s behaviour in the team, coach Bennett Podile described him as one of the best strikers that the team has.

Podile said he does not doubt that Lethabo will be the best striker that the South African soccer team will need in the future.

“His talent and hard work are the qualities that will lead him to the national soccer team in a few years,” said Podile proudly.
