Disabled athletes shine on
The KwaThema disabled athletes continue to make their township proud.
After taking part in the SA schools’ games that were held in Pretoria from December 8 to 16, both Bongani Mgidi and Thando Nhlapho came home with gold medals.
Coach Aubrey Mathibela says 11 of his athletes now qualify to take part on the Nedbank National Championships to be held at the University of Johannesburg in March.
He then promised Kwatsaduza residents that his club members will continue to be victorious and bring home medals.
Mathibela also appealed for the community’s support.
“We want people to understand that the victory we come back home with is not for us but for the community of Kwatsaduza,” he said.
