Local players to join Bloemfontein Celtics
Two young soccer players from Tsakane might soon be joining the Bloemfontein Celtics development team.
Buhle Mtshali (16) and Lwazi Shabala (15) are playing for the Dovola United FC based in Tsakane Extension Five.
The team was formed this year, but it has already registered many wins under its name including wining local league tournaments.
Mxolisi Guntu, the team manager says the boys were invited by the Celtics after the game between the Celtics’ development team and Dovola FC was postponed.
He says the two boys will be flying to Bloemfontein on November 20 to start training with the team’s development team to prepare to play for the team on November 22.
“If the team management is impressed by my boys’ performance, they will officially sign them into the team,” Guntu says.
Adding that the the Dovola FC is proud of the two players, who they believe will not only become the soccer stars of tomorrow but will also be the pride of the township where they come from.
A confident Buhle promises to keep scoring more goals.
“The Celtics will see my talent and that I am not just a striker but I have the ability to score more than two goals during the game,” says Buhle.
