Local athletes to SA Champs

Twelve of Kwatsaduza's athletes will compete in the South African Championships.

Six of the 12 athletes who qualified to compete in the SA championships to be held in Cape Town.

After hard work preparing for the running competition held in Boksburg on Saturday to fight for a place to compete in the SA Champs, 12 of Kwatsaduza Athletics Club members qualified to take part in the championships.

Sparks Moagi got the first position in the 8km run while gogo Nomajeremane Seabi (76) also got the first position in the 4km run.

Sparks says he does not doubt that his athletes will come back with victory from the competition.

“We are training hard to ensure that when the big day comes, we are ready,” said Moagi.

The SA champions are expected to take place in Cape Town on September 13.
