KwaThema netball team ups its game

Doing better and learning from their mistakes

With the experience and lessons from the first Masakhane games, KwaThema netball team improved their game this time.

There were six new players in their 15-member team, which played at Germiston Stadium on June 14.

The KwaThema team recorded wins of 11-1 against Vosloorus and 10-0 against Daveyton as part of their first six games before reaching the semi-finals.

Coach Girly Mnguni, said she was pleased with her U/15s performance, and added that even their 6-5 defeat against Etwatwa which knocked them out of the games, is not seen as a failure.

Girly said their hard training at Bulithando Park paid off as they were able to fix mistakes from last year, and they are now preparing for next year’s games.
