No goal between Masters and Stars

No points taken home

While the weather could not decide whether it was hot or cold, 17 Masters played against QwaQwa Stars in a super league game.

The Brakpan Local Football Association game was played at the Malandela ground on Saturday.

The game, that ended goalless was played at an average pace and apart from a few near misses by both teams, there was little action.

QwaQwa Stars moved freely on the field, and was constantly allowed to handle the ball inside Masters’ box.

However, it failed to capitalise on those opportunities, which included a near miss by number 10, followed closely by his team mate wearing number six.

Masters made a few attempts at scoring, but was also denied by QwaQwa, and by half time the game remained goalless.

The second half saw both teams working hard, but goal post, goal keepers, defenders and wide balls contributed in denying both teams a lead.

Supporters seemed frustrated by the missed chances, near misses which increased in the last minutes of the game.

The score was still 0-0 when the referee blew his whistle to signal the end of the match.
