Stars of Tomorrow is a newly developed netball team from Extension Eight Langaville.
The team, which has players aged between 10 and 32 years, met for a practice game on Tuesday.
They are preparing for a match which will be played on tomorrow in Nigel.
Coach Vusi Radine (34) said being a learner at Siphumelelo, a school for learners with special educational needs, some of the skills learned was to become a netball coach.
The team held its first tournament in April, where it claimed second position, playing against teams from Duduza and Whiteville.
Vusi explains that the lack of a netball field in Extension Eight, poses a real challenge for the team.
“We have to draw a netball court before every game, and have to place our goal posts and move them again after playing,” he added.
Vusi said another challenge facing them is that as a small team, managed by people who are not well known leads to them not being taken seriously.
He said players have a passion for the sport and a need for their talents to be recognised, and not stay hidden in Langaville.
