New players join Ayoba
More than 15 players joined Ayoba-Yo Youth Soccer Academy after taking part in trials during the school holidays
The trials were open to U/11 to U/21 soccer players. According to one of the new players, Tumelo Motaung (10), he is excited to join the team.
“We did our best during the trials and we promise to put the team on a higher level,” says Tumelo.
Ayoba’s technical director, Innocent Mayoyo, says his team hosts the trials every year to scout for new talent to develop, polish and let it be seen by the world.
“I made it my responsibility to discover the soccer talent in the township and give the young soccer stars a chance to fulfil their dreams of becoming professional soccer players,” says Mayoyo.
The team also has a new coach, Pakiso Mokoena, who joined the team three weeks ago.
