Highland get a ‘Warning’

Highland was left searching for a hole to hide in after getting a 3-0 beating from the Verbal Warning during the Tsamaya League tournament game on Sunday

Highland left the Tlakula ground wondering what went wrong after being embarrassed by Verbal Warning following their failure to score a goal.

When the match kicked off it looked as if Verbal Warning would be the one leaving the ground disappointed.

Highland was on fire at the start of the game, looking to give Verbal Warning a real warning.

Verbal Warning showed that it was not by chance that they got their name ‘Verbal Warning’ but showed the opponent their skills in football.

The clean and satisfactory first goal for the Verbal Warning was put behind the net by Jabulani Ndela during the first half of the game.

The game continued with the sun shining even more brightly, allowing both teams to play to their best ability.

Highland tried to defend hard during the second half of the game but that did not stop Mzobo Nkosi of Verbal Warning scoring another goal for his team, extending the lead.

The second goal for Verbal Warning gave more energy to the team’s players and they attacked more, making Highland’s goalie sweat while trying to save his team from the biggest embarrassment.

Verbal Warning’s third goal was scored by Eric Majola who took away all the hope that Highland supporters and the players had, after realising that it was going to be hard for them to equalise with the opponent.

The whistle was blown to end the game and Verbal Warning went home with three goals while Highland took home the disappointment of failing to score even a single goal.
