Easter soccer tournament in KwaThema

The soccer teams in and around Kwatsaduza are invited to register to play in the Easter soccer tournament in KwaThema.

The Ace Auto/Ayoba top 16 Wafa-wafa tournament will be open to all teams regardless of their federation’s affiliation.

Innocent Mayoyo says the aim of the tournament is to keep young people active during the Easter holidays.

He says Ayoba and other teams in the township will also use the opportunity to discover the talent of the players who are not registered by any team.

Only players who qualify to be playing on the senior division teams will be allowed to take part in the three days’ tournament.

The champions of the tournament will go home with a cash amount of R5 000, a trophy and gold medals while the team that takes the second position will win R2 500 and silver medals.

The launch and the draw of the teams will take place on April 20 at the KwaThema’s Extension Two Legacy Ground at 3pm and the teams that are interested in taking part in the tournament should be at the Legacy Ground at 1pm before the draw.

The tournament will start on April 26 until April 28 at the Legacy Ground.
