A community that prays together

Rammego Mgcina writes: Nyaope is a huge problem to all...

I was greatly disturbed by what happened in Daveyton last week, where a young woman was believed to have been killed by her mother after she grew tired of her daughter stealing from her.

What greatly concerns me is that now, the community of Daveyton wants to torch the woman’s house for her alleged crime.

The problem doesn’t start there because at the root of the problem is nyaope.

My question is what are we as a community doing about all the youth who are victims of this deadly drug?

Must we wait until we are faced with such incidents before we start acting?

Where are the good old community organisations which used to assist families who had problematic children or members? Do they still step in and discipline those culprits?

Where are the women of prayer who kneeled down at the strike of problems?

Where are the missionaries?

If only the body of Christ can stop criticising each other’s doctrines and focus on what they are called to do. This way I believe we can bring change and hope to the hopeless.

Resurrection is possible.

All women of prayer who are willing to partner with me in prayer for our youth can join me every Tuesday at 11am, at Klavuka Street behind KKK Shops, KwaThema.
