Keep working on your dreams

There comes a time in one’s life when, no matter how much you have prepared, no matter how much you have planned and no matter how much you think you have done well, things just don’t go your way.

This my friend, happens not just to the selected few, but to most of us.

Failure, or not being able to meet the requirements of being able to do what you desire, will sometimes happen when you expect it to.

You may not get the job you want, the results you hope for, your relationships might take a different turn, business may do better or worse than you had hoped and you may or may not get the house or car you dreamed of, among other things.

But this does not mean that, just because you do not succeed the first time around, you should see it as the end of the road, failure or the time for you to give up on that dream.

Sometimes there is just a lesson behind the setback, or you are not ready to receive the gift or blessing.

Therefore, it is imperative to always pick yourself up and move on, because so many times we give up on ourselves and our dreams, not knowing how close we are to achieving them.

And we spend so much time drowning in pity or the heartache, that we do not even see the second chance or opportunity to try again when it arises.

Last year might not have been your year, but you are in charge of your current situation and your destiny.

The difference between ordinary and extraordinary people is that extraordinary people are not afraid to do extra and to try again when they don’t succeed.

So, keep your head up high, keep focused and work on that dream until you make it.

Don’t focus much on what others around you are doing, but look at how you are running your own race and how you get to the finish line.

The tough times don’t last, but tough people do and sometimes giving up is not an option.

Life is like a navigator; you might be able to estimate how long it will take you to reach a certain goal, but you will never be able to predict how many potholes, stops signs or detours you will encounter before reaching that goal, so keep trying.
