Let’s be the generation that brings about change

It has become our habit as a society to complain, rather than coming up with solutions.

We all have problems as individuals and need to come up with answers.

There are numerous issues facing us as a society and it time to step up and address them.

It would be easy if we all stood together and address these issues.

Our youth are facing so many problems and need guidance.

The unemployment situation at the moment has caused the young generation to resort to all kinds of criminal activities.

What is the solution for them to keep busy and stay away from crime?

Young people should come together and share ideas.

For one, they can occupy their time by mentoring learners who are still in school.

Some children don’t have anyone to help them with school projects and homework.

This could be a way for the unemployed youth to give back and do something constructive.

The elderly have been forgotten.

Why can’t we, as young people, go out and assist them?

These are the people who paved the way for us, and as a token of appreciation we could at least do something for them.

We need to start breaking from our shells and be the change we want to see.

If you have time on your hands, rather than sitting and doing nothing, go and see where your help is needed.

There are NGOs in our communities that are short-staffed and would appreciate any help we can give them.

Our streets are dirty and need cleaning up.

Why don’t we go out and tidy the community we live in, instead of waiting for the government to do things for us?

If we can change the way we view things as people, we can achieve a lot more.

The youngsters following us must be a generation who think differently.

We need to instil independent values and morals in younger children, so they may not encounter the same problems we are facing.

Everyone has to do their part to combat the current state we are in.

Giving up and being idle is not a solution.

Our parents and leaders can only do so much for us and we have to do the rest.

The communities we live in belong to us, and if we don’t change them as individuals, who should?

We can claim we failed, only if we have tried.
