People, have mercy on the road

Please stop and assist towards an accident what you have caused.

On November 16 around 5pm my daughter, Kwanele Zhucov Msibi was driving in Nigel Road.

On passing Boulder Street she was disturbed by a guy on a motor cycle.

Her car swerved, hit a tree and rolled twice.

She tried to unlock her safety belt, managed to break the window with her legs and crawled outside.

She was drowsy and not knowing what was happening and noticed people surrounding her.

Dirk Token assisted her.

I would like to thank him and the witness, Bongani Tshabalala for what they did for us, including every one who was on the scene to assist, the phone calls we received to comfort us, our neighbours and those who visited her in hospital.

It is through God’s almighty that He lifted His hand towards my baby girl.

To motor cycles – we know that you are always in a rush, but if you notice that you have caused an accident, please have mercy in your heart to stop and assist towards what you have caused.

Sometimes other things are not for going to jail, but show ubuntu (humanity) in this regard.

I salute my brothers and sisters, metro police and the witnesses for the good work done.

Mduduzi Joel Msibi.
