It is true that many people think that being born and growing up in the township, you do not get exposed in many things that will change your life.
However I believe that a better life despite the circumstances is based on the faith, focus and the confidence that one has.
Many families in the townships and informal settlements depend on social grants for survival but surprisingly there are children from these families who are today’s university graduates and it is all possible trough the faith, staying focused and knowing exactly what they wanted to achieve in life.
Trust me growing up in a poor family is one if the things that pushes other young people towards working hard so that they can change their lives and that of their families.
If you take a look about the role played by the youth in many townships today, many young people have taken a stand and are fighting against poverty trough opening their own businesses and social clubs.
We can not run away from the fact that there are people who still feel that today’s youth is a lost generation, but I honestly do not agree with them.
In my view, the youth of today is focused in building their future under the difficult circumstances.
I can imagine how hard it is for them to start their own businesses with no funds or any sponsorships yet they do not give up.
