Suspects shoot two in John Dube Village

The Duduza SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Harry Manaka, said the two victims tried to flee the shop.

Duduza – The police are investigating cases of business robbery and attempted murder after two armed men attacked tuck shop keepers in John Dube Village on Friday.

Two Ethiopian nationals, aged 30 and 32, allege two armed men entered the shop on Friday afternoon and instructed them to lie on the floor.

Duduza SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka said the victims tried to flee the shop, but the men shot them.

One victim was hit on his left ankle, and the other on his left thigh and right arm.

“The suspects fled in a white Toyota Corolla with registration PFT 197 GP. The two victims were taken to Pholosong Hospital for medical attention,” he explained.

The police plead with anyone who might know the identity of the suspects or their whereabouts to come forward.
