Duduza – A woman (38) was arrested in Coolbreeze for possession of suspected stolen property and unlicensed firearms on Thursday.
Ekurhuleni District Crime Intelligence and the EMPD acted on a tip-off about the suspect committing business robberies around Duduza and Tsakani.
Ekurhuleni regional spokesperson Captain Neldah Sekgobela said, on arrival, the suspect they were looking for, who is the woman’s boyfriend, was not found. The girlfriend was found sleeping inside the house.
“The police searched the premises and recovered two 9mm pistols, one pellet rifle and a motorbike with a tampered engine.
“The girlfriend was detained at the Duduza SAPS and will appear soon before the Heidelberg Magistrate’s Court.
“We are still searching for the boyfriend and anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward,” she said.
