Duduza – Four men were arrested for possession and possible dealing in illegal substances on Thursday.
Members received information from a reliable source about a residence on Hlope Street, suspected to be a safe house for drug dealers.
Members proceeded to the address, and upon arrival, they found two men. They continued to search the house and found 47 packets of nyaope.
EMPD spokesperson Chief Superintendent Kelebogile Thepa said the drugs have an estimated value of R2 300.
On Sontonga Street, members cornered an additional two 24-year-old men in possession of 24 packets of nyaope, with an estimated value of R1 200.
All four suspects were immediately handcuffed and marched to the Duduza Police Station.
They are facing charges of possession and possible dealing in illegal substances. They will appear in the Nigel Magistrate’s Court soon.
