Izi Grocery does it easy for the Kwa-Thema community

A delivery service for the community of KwaTsaDuza

A new grocery delivery service has been launched in Kwa-Thema and caters for the communities of Kwatsaduza and Springs.

Though three months old, Izi Grocery is still a new kid on the block and hoping to grow.

Started by 38-year-old Sipho Dlamini and his partner Mandla Mabuza, the delivery service helps those who can’t go shopping.

“I am not sure if this is a first of its kind in a township by black people, however, I have never seen such a service apart from well-known supermarkets,” said Dlamini.

Dlamini said though there are challenges in the business such as not having their own transport, not having an app and buying from supermarkets instead of wholesalers directly, their turnaround time is two to 24 hours.

“Buying from supermarkets is expensive. We want to buy directly from wholesalers and cut out the middleman.

“Customers can order directly from our website izigrocery.co.za and WhatsApp on 078 561 5107. The delivery fee is R25,” Dlamini said.

Dlamini concluded saying they are hoping to grow, make groceries accessible and affordable to the community and create employment.
