Gunmen open fire on pair in vehicle outside Catch up Zone
Two men were shot while sitting in their car outside Catch up Zone.
Duduza – Two men were shot by the occupants of a white VW Polo outside Catch up Zone on Sunday.
One of the men was fatally wounded and the other is in critical condition at Pholosong Hospital.
Two perpetrators managed to flee the scene.
The victims were sitting inside a Hyundai when they were approached by the gunmen in the Polo who opened fire on them.
Duduza police spokesperson Sergeant Harry Manaka explained two firearms were found in the victims’ car. One was unlicensed and the other an air gun.

“When interviewed about the guns the victim denied any knowledge of the firearms inside the car.
“The motive for the shooting is still unknown. Police have registered cases of murder, attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearms,” he explained.
Manaka added that they are urging anyone who might have information about the identity of the gunmen or their whereabouts to come forward or contact the police on 08600 10111.
