Kwa-Thema – The EMPD urges the community to refrain from looting at the scenes of cash-in-transit (CIT) heists.
The warning follows an incident on Saturday morning where officers from the EMPD Intervention and Community Liaison units responded to a CIT heist in Kwa-Thema.
The officers received information about the crime in progress on Vlakfontein Road. On arrival, they found vehicles burning and many community members looting the cash from the CIT vehicle.
