CPF urges residents to join and protect public facilities

In the wake of the burglary at the White City Clinic, the Kwa-Thema CPF calls on residents to join them in projecting institutions that serve the public.

“We have five sectors, and each has a team of patrollers. White City falls under sector three, and we have just selected a new executive committee. I believe the members will inject fresh energy in that area,” explained Mosweu ‘Shoes’ Ramatje, the public relations officer for the Kwa-Thema CPF.

Vandals stripped the clinic of equipment worth more than R100 000 in the early hours of September 15.

The thugs overpowered the only security guard on duty. In response, the CoE urged residents to protect public facilities.

“We have a responsibility to be part of the solution. We cannot stand by and complain while doing nothing to assist. The CPF does a lot in the community. Sometimes, we are the first on the scene,” said Ramatje.

The CPF’s primary purpose is to bring the police and community together by helping bridge the gap between crime challenges.

The Kwa-Thema CPF is available at the Kwa-Thema Police Station.

“Anyone can join. You must be older than 18 and a South African citizen,” he added.
