Mgiftoz SA drops amapiano tunes

Gift ‘Mgiftoz SA’ Matjie and SA producer and DJ Busta 929 have released new amapiano songs.

Gift ‘Mgiftoz SA’ Matjie released two amapiano songs with SA producer and DJ Thapelo Ndou, popularly known as ‘Busta 929’, on September 6.

The two songs – Ngithanda Wena and Izitha Zam – have been received well by the public and streamed multiple times on social platforms.

“Ngithanda Wena was produced in January and further finalised in August, while Izitha Zam was produced and finalised in August,” said Matjie.

He added that Ngithanda Wena is a love story in which he admires his partner and tells her he loves her more than anything else.

“Izitha Zam is a thank you prayer to the Lord expressing that I am grateful for the blessing of life that He has given us.

“I am thanking Him for protecting us from bad things we could have encountered. It is a praise song. A song that prays for our enemies to be blinded by our success and not see our future,” he added.

Matjie is grateful for his achievements, saying his journey in the music industry has been amazing.

“The experience was mind-blowing because I got to understand and refresh a little, plus Busta and I recorded the songs outside of Gauteng.

“Even though I had a lot going on in my life at the time, the travelling helped me keep sane and made me concentrate on the music more than anything,” he said.

Matjie added that he is working on more songs with Basta and will drop every other song in due course.

He concluded by saying the songs are online and available for streaming and that they want people to hear and feel the deep side of their genre, rhythm and beat.
