Tsakani – EMPD officers arrested a 47-year-old man last Thursday after finding him driving a car with a dodgy license disc.
The EMPD Specialised Services officers intercepted him while performing law enforcement and crime prevention duties.
The members spotted a suspicious white Mercedes Benz Vito on Madiba Street. They immediately decided to halt the vehicle tactically, which had one occupant.
Upon requesting the driver to produce his driver’s licence, which he did, officers inspected the car and noticed something sinister on the licence disc – the disc on the Vito belonged to a Chrysler.
The driver, who could not provide a satisfactory answer, was handcuffed, arrested and marched to the Tsakane Police Station and charged with fraud.
