They are putting shoes on those without

Local church aims to make a difference through donations.

Republican Trinity Church of Southern Africa in Kwa-Thema donated 35 school shoes and 15 school T-shirts on July 5 at Endicott Primary School and St Martin Drop-in Centre, an NPO in Springs.

Reverend Veli Nkosi said their vision as a church was to impact their community in a meaningful way.

He further added the best way they could make an impact was through assisting children in need.

“Children have tremendous potential to achieve great things in life especially when assisted,” he said.

He also added the congregation worked jointly in collecting these donations.

“Each congregant that could buy a pair or two bought it and brought it to church for the items to be donated at once.

“We saw a great need to collect school clothing as most children go to school without proper uniforms, and school shoes and some go without,” added Nkosi.

He said the aim remains on making a difference in a little person’s life.

“To do that we seek assistance from the community and business stakeholders.

“We would appreciate different kinds of donations such as sanitary towels, clothes, shoes, toys, stationery and any other impactful items,” said Nkosi.
