Adventure lovers are invited to skate festival

Ekurhuleni Annual Skate Festival will be held on June 17

Bush Adventures, a non-profit company from Tsakani, invites the community to the Ekurhuleni Annual Skate Festival at 11:00 on June 17.

The event will be hosted at Duduza Reconciliation Park to commemorate Youth Day. There will be a variety of activities to partake in such as skating, archery, target shooting and paintball.

According to the NPC’s marketing manager, Bonginkosi Mokwane, they aim to get young people off the streets and out of trouble by introducing them to physical hobbies that can turn into future careers.

“We also want to highlight the need for a proper recreational facility in our community,” Mokwane said.

Mokwane revealed that the event will mark the first annual skate festival as they plan to host these events every year from now on.

Bush Adventures NPC was launched last year and needs donations to catapult its expansion.

“We are still a developing company so we would appreciate any assistance or donation,” he said.

Refreshments will be on sale and there will be live entertainment.
