Kwatsaduza mothers fix each other’s crowns

Mothers from Kwatsaduza celebrated Mother's Day in Tsakani on Sunday.

Women from all over Kwatsaduza were dressed to the nines in all black sporting elegance and class as they spent their day celebrating and fixing each other’s crowns.

Phumla ‘Phumla KM’ Khumalo hosted a Mother’s Day event at Grand Eat Out restaurant in Tsakani on Sunday.

Khumalo tells the story of how her experience with depression motivated her to become a life coach.

“I lost my marriage, I lost my job, it was a mess and it wasn’t easy. I realised that it’s never too late to start over. Now I have one-on-one sessions with women struggling to find their feet and I host events.

“I started life coaching in 2021 after surviving depression. I was bed-ridden from 2019 to 2021 and as soon I recovered I knew that I wanted to help other women,” she revealed.

The ladies in attendance were jamming to music and enjoying good food and good conversations.

“I’m enjoying myself and I love being around other mothers because we have been encouraging and empowering one another,” an attendee, Portia Lumatha said.

Phumla shared words of encouragement to the mothers present.

“It’s never too late to start over after life breaks you down. Nothing beats prayer, I know sometimes it may seem as though you can’t find the right words to say to God.

“Don’t lose hope. Never feel that you are alone in your challenge. You have to stay strong for your children so keep going,” she encouraged.
