Top 16 knockout coming soon

The proceeds will go to charity.

Tsakani – In the spirit of uplifting the youth of Kwatsaduza and surrounding areas, Dlozana ‘Dlozified 11’ Sibeko and Senzeni ‘Senzeni 11’ Nhlapo have partnered with a local lounge to host the ‘On On Tsakane Easter Games’.

This will be a top-16 knockout competition with prizes to be won by participating teams and fans. Local organising committee public relations officer Senzeni 11 said teams all over the province received an opportunity to affiliate to the competition.

“This was to make sure that deserving young people from the townships get an opportunity to shine,” he said.

Senzeni 11 said with all teams now registered, the tournament will kickstart on March 29 at Malandela Ground in Tsakani and the final match will be on April 1 at the Tsakani Stadium.

“We invite the community for family day experiences and entertainment by local artists and DJs,” he said.

With a dedicated team of community leaders driving this initiative, the On On Tsakane Easter Games aims to inspire the community to come together in the celebration of ubuntu and the spirit of giving, and to help fight the social ills brought forward by unemployment, poverty and the lack of opportunities for the youth.

With such a great initiative meant to drive change within the community, the organising team have planned to donate proceeds of this tournament to local orphanages, old age homes and other vulnerable community members within Kwatsaduza.
