EMPD recovers stolen bakkie

Officers discovered that the LDV was stolen in Putfontein.

Tsakani – EMPD Tsakane precinct officers recovered a white Isuzu D-Max in Langaville on Thursday morning.

“Officers received information from a reliable source that a bakkie was brought to Langaville Ext 6 during the morning hours and there were strange sounds.

“They proceeded to the location and discovered there was no one at the residence and parts of the bakkie were stripped off.

“The officers thoroughly checked the parts, and it was discovered that the vehicle was stolen from a company in Putfontein because it is a company vehicle,” explained Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa, the spokesperson for the EMPD.

The tracker was disconnected and discarded in Thembisa.

“Further investigations are being conducted and arrests are imminent,” added Thepa.
