Kwa-Thema – The Kwa-Thema Premier League team lost to the Geluksdal Premier League team when they met on Sunday at the Kwa-Thema Sports Complex (Prince Thethe Oval).
Kwa-Thema lost the toss and had to bat first. They lost quick wickets and were all out for 103 runs after 26.4 overs.
Their top scorers were Kabelo Setshedi with 32 runs and Ernest Mbalane with 23 runs.
Geluksdal went in to bat, chased the score, and ended on 105 for five in 24.2 overs. Kwa-Thema lost the game by five wickets.
The Premier Reserve teams of the two clubs also met on Sunday at Willowmoore Park. Kwa-Thema won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 366 for nine after their allotted 50 overs.
Nathi Masuku made 120 runs, Gavin Mnguni 73 runs and Owami Mahlangu 43 runs. Geluksdal, which played with nine out of 11 players, chased the score, ending at 156 for eight in 33.1 overs.
The Kwa-Thema Premier Reserve team avenged their seniors, winning by 210 runs.
