Residents in Springs and surrounding areas are encouraged to prepare for a 14-hour power outage on February 28 due to Eskom’s planned maintenance work.
The power supply will be switched off from 09:00 until 23:00.
Areas that will be affected include:
• Struisbult
• Selection Park
• Selection Park Industries
• Selcourt
• Daggafontein
• Nuffield
• Distel/Heineken
• Bevcan
• Element Six
The CoE said work to restore power will be undertaken with the intention of restoring power to the affected areas and factories.
No guarantee can, however, be given that this deadline will be met. Work will, however, continue until urgent maintenance work at Eskom has been completed.
All electrical networks and equipment shall be regarded as being electrically alive at all times while the maintenance is performed.
