Uncle allegedly kills nephew

Kwa-Thema – A 15-year-old boy was killed on Sunday after an argument turned deadly.

The Kwa-Thema SAPS responded and went to an address on Ngayo Street, Ext 3.

“On arrival, the suspect showed them the deceased’s body.

“The suspect, who is the boy’s uncle, alleged that the deceased took his wristwatch and other small items,” explained Captain Nelda Sekgobela, the SAPS regional spokesperson.

“He claims he asked the deceased why he took his belongings, and a fight ensued between the two.

“The suspect then took a hammer and hit the deceased on his upper body. The pathologist declared him dead on the scene.

“The uncle was arrested and taken to Kwa-Thema Police Station for detention,” added Sekgobela.
