Trouble for teacher who abused learner
Investigations are underway after a learner was beaten, allegedly by a teacher.
Tsakani – A Grade R teacher at Sizuzile Primary School found herself in hot water after allegedly beating a five-year-old learner on the head with an aerosol spray can on Thursday.
A staff member at the school, who asked not to be named, said this was not the first complaint against the teacher.
She said the teacher also insults learners and does not give them proper care.
Gauteng Department of Education spokesperson Steve Mabona said the department is aware of the allegations brought against the teacher.
“We have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this matter. As such, the necessary disciplinary action will be taken accordingly,” Mabona said.
