Retired nurses unite to empower each other

The association will still welcome any retired nurse who want to register to join.

The Kwatsaduza Retired Nurses Association is inviting other retired nurses to join their good cause.

Launched in October 2023, the purpose of the association is to offer support when a member dies.

“We unfortunately lost a member who was the first to be buried in a professional and dignified manner by Kwatsaduza Retired Nurses.

“The association prides itself with over 50 members, with the number increasing daily,” explained Flo Tlagae, one of the founding members.

The association’s meetings are held every second month at Skills Centre, corner of Job Maseko Street and Thema Road, at 11:00.

“Dignity is embraced through our dress code.

“We wear black for condolences and white for burial with a royal blue scarf.

“This is just to ensure we look professional and dignified,” she added.

The association welcomes any retired nurses who want to register to join.

In 2024 they aim to implement more projects such as IT technology, sewing, bead work, aerobic and exercising.
