Kwa-Thema – The ANC members of Ward 77 in Kwa-Thema spent Saturday cleaning the dirty Selope Thema Clinic in Ext 3.
The clinic had overgrown grass and weeds, and patients were unhappy about the issues.
Palesa Ntshala said she’s one of the patients who started going to the clinic after 08:00 because she couldn’t queue outside based on her fears.
“I would imagine a snake appearing while we are in the queue,” she said.
Ntshala said she was grateful because she can now get to the clinic early and save time.
“When we get to the clinic late, we tend to spend close to three hours waiting to be attended to, if not more,” she said.
Branch secretary Thulane Dunjana said the cleaning is part of the party giving back to the community.
“We exist within a community and not on an island. Therefore, us cleaning here will also benefit us because we use the services,” he said.
