Officers spread awareness on GBV

EMPD is fighting the scourge of GBV through education.

Kwa-Thema- EMPD Social Crime Prevention Unit officers conducted a domestic violence workshop at Selope Thema and Thembalisha clinics.
The EMPD officers continued to roll out domestic violence talks at various healthcare facilities to reach out to the community.
Part of the discussions held during the workshop were about how domestic violence negatively impacts households and the trauma it leaves on children.
Members of the public were offered the opportunity to share experiences and opinions about domestic violence.
The EMPD will continue to target healthcare facilities and partner with the Department of Health to create awareness on domestic violence throughout the City of Ekurhuleni.
