City to host festive season theatre extravaganza

Tickets will be sold at the door.

Kwatsaduza – December is the most wonderful time of the year, with festivities to promote social cohesion taking place across the world, Ekurhuleni included.

As such, the city will join in on the fun by hosting exhilarating home-brewed theatre production by world-renowned and budding thespians from in and around the city.

To kick-start such activities, as of November 28 until December 10, the Dumisani Masilela Theatre in Germiston will be a hive of activities, showcasing productions such as the Gibson Khente’s How Long Mfowethu.

There will also be double bills with a variety of pieces from different producers as well as Christmas carols to keep theatre lovers on the edge of their seats.

Entrance to the show is R50 and tickets will be sold at the door. Meanwhile, for the Double Bills and the Christmas Carols entrance is free.

However, for good measure, patrons are requested to donate school stationery items and the proceeds will go to the identified shelter for children with different needs.
