Waste collection disruptions affect Kwatsaduza

Waste collection services to be disrupted until further notice

Kwatsaduza – Refuse collection services will be disrupted in areas of Tsakane, Langaville, Actonville, Wattville, Daveyton-Etwatwa, Duduza and Kwa-Thema.

In a statement, metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said in order to protect residents’ and the general public’s clean and healthy environment, residents are advised to keep their bins within their properties until further notice.

“We plead with residents not to resort to illegal dumping if delays cause refuse to build up to the point where it cannot fit in the wheelie bins.

“During this difficult period, we request residents to place excess waste into bags and place them next to the wheelie bin for removal on the day of collection.

“We can assure residents that we are working as quickly as possible to ensure that this disruption is indeed resolved,” he explained.

Dlamini added that they will provide constant updates to residents regarding the situation and the re-opening of the public offloading facilities.
