Waste collection affected in Tsakani

Waste removal services in the areas have been affected since Tuesday, especially around collections.

Tsakani – Waste removal services were disrupted on Tuesday in Tsakani, KwaThema, Duduza and Langaville, because of unforeseen circumstances, which are receiving attention.

The issue has slightly affected waste removal services in the areas.

“We are attending to the challenges and hope to resolve the issue as soon as possible to ensure the services can resume,” said the City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.

He added they developed a recovery plan to address the backlog created because of the latest developments.

In the meantime, they encourage residents not to take out their bins as per the collection schedule until the CoE has resolved the situation.

The city undertook to inform the residents when to take out their bins when the situation has normalised.

“We apologise for the inconvenience this situation caused, and they remained committed to our agenda to keep Ekurhuleni clean,” concludes Dlamini.
