Good luck to the matrics!

The mayor of Ekurhuleni hopes matrics will work hard with their brush-ups for the final exams.

The much anticipated, tense and exciting time of the year has arrived for Grade 12 learners. October marks a critical period for these young people as they begin their final examinations marking the end of their secondary education.

Ekurhuleni Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana wishes all the learners luck in writing their end-of-year examinations, especially the matriculants.

“This final assessment for this group of learners marks the end of one huge chapter of their schooling life and the beginning of a new era.

“Twelve years of education is a long time and it’s a blessing to see them sticking it out till the end. We know many young people get held back by life’s challenges and never reach matric level. I want to wish all those Grade 12’s the very best,” he said.

The office of the executive mayor hopes this year’s final matric examinations spanning from October to December will be conducted smoothly without any glitches.

“I sincerely hope the class of 2023 have a peaceful and smooth examination. I further urge all families to support their children with all they have through this trying period,” he added.
