Deputy Minister: Department of Water & Sanitation (DWS) David Mahlobo calls for efficient water delivery for Tsakani residents

Kwatsaduza – In a bid to solve water challenges in Tsakani, Deputy Minister: Department of Water & Sanitation (DWS) David Mahlobo visited the area on Thursday morning.
He visited the Xhosa reservoir that supplies water to the area.
During the visit, he urged the City of Ekurhuleni and Rand Water to work together in resolving the water issue.
After inspecting the water plant, Mahlobo said he has agreed with Rand Water on an efficiency target.
“Though the city is meeting its target for water supply, this should not be at the expense of communities.
“Rand Water needs to stabilise the system so all parts of the community can have water,” he said.
