Phelang Ladies third on the log

Some teams didn’t pitch for the league games.

Kwa-Thema – Phelang Special School hosted the Gauteng Sports Association for the Physically Disabled Soccer League games on Saturday.

Phelang coach Kamogo Mojaki said people with cerebral palsy were often sidelined, and the league wanted them to feel involved in sports.

He said Phelang would one day create national players in the sport.

“Our children feel happy when playing, and I am glad they stand a chance to be selected to play in the regional and the provincial games,” he said.

The results:

Frances Vorwerg School won by a walkover against Ithembelihle LSEN School, given two goals and three points.

Philip Kushlick School won by a walkover against Ezibeleni School, given two goals and three points.

Phelang Ladies also won by a walkover against Philip Kushlick School, given two goals and three points.

The games, played under various divisions, rotate from one school to the next.

Phelang Ladies are third on the log.
