Duduzile Namo aims to make a difference in her community

Tsakani – Duduzile Namo is an aspiring model from Tsakane who wants to make a difference in her community through her modelling.

The 21-year-old is part of the Miss Youth Unified International finalists for 2023. Speaking to African Reporter Duduzile said she started modeling in 2021 at the Figures Model Finesse International.

“I learned all there is to learn about modelling and my love and passion for it grew each time. I graduated in August 2021 from the academy,” said the model.

Duduzile added since she started her modeling career she has been involved in various community projects.

She donated clothes, shoes, food and blankets at Tsakane Old Age Home, volunteered at Blessings Social Development Centre on Mandela Day and later held a soup kitchen at Tsakane Extension 10.

“I also visited Menzi Children’s Home, an orphanage located in Tsakane where I donated clothes, shoes and toys.

“Last week I visited Tambo Memorial Hospital where I donated clothes and toiletries to newborn babies and their mothers.

“This week I visited Funukukhaya Primary School where I donated school uniforms to needy children. I also visited Thuthukanisizwe Primary School where I donated pads to the young girls,” she added.

Duduzile said one of her dreams is to help enrol drug addicts who want to recover from her community in a rehab centre.

She said the pageant challenges her to become a better person and create change in her community as she believes that everyone is the change they want to see.
