KUSO donates dignity packs to the less fortunate in Duduza

The sponsors committed to supporting KUSO in future campaigns.

Duduza – Over 300 girls at Iphahamiseng and Roseview primary schools received dignity packs and blankets from the Kutlwano Social Organisation and sponsors.

The initiative was held at the Dududza Multipurpose Centre on Sunday as part of the 67 minutes for Mandela.

Speaking on behalf of KUSO, chairperson Dali Mofokeng said they were delighted to honour the legacy of the late SA president, Nelson Mandela.

“He was passionate about the education of black children and girls, in particular, for the bright future of our country.

“It is for us all to take the baton from him and transfer it to the next generation,” he added.

Speaking on behalf of the sponsors, Niani Mulaudzi said they were grateful to KUSO for its foresight in organising this event.

“We commit to being part of it, even in future, because we believe in the ideals Nelson Mandela stood for. We hope other men in our communities will also come forward and join KUSO to make a difference in their communities and make every day a Mandela Day,” he said.

Learner Sebenzile Mahlangu thanked KUSO for giving them love and demonstrating a caring attitude to girls in the community.

She called on other men to stand up and be counted in protecting and supporting girls and helping them realise the dream of a better life.
