Tsakani – Duduza XI won the Chicken and Meat Co Cup competition when it ended on Sunday at the Malandela Ground in Tsakani.
They met Bazingeli a week after both teams qualified for the finals with a raft of goals against their opponents.
Duduza beat Bazingeli by 4-1, making them the inaugural champs of the tournament.
The tournament founder, Votile ‘Mqeqeshi’ Jack, said, “Congratulations to the new champs, Duduza XI Masters, for being crowned the winners. A round of applause to every club participating in this cup and hard luck for now to those who did not achieve their goals. Better luck next time.”
He also thanked the finalists for the great display at the finals, saying, “We are slowly growing, gentlemen.”
Playing for third place, All Nation beat Wizard by 4-0.
Duduza XI walked away with a sheep, a trophy and medals.
The tournament’s end marked the return of the Build It league, which will take place from Sunday at the Malandela Ground.
