Youth activation programme aims to bring services to the community
Different sectors to have conversations with the youth on Tuesday
Tsakani – The Thabang Xaba Foundation together with the Ekurhuleni Aids Council will hold a youth activation day at the Faranani Multipurpose Centre in Tsakani on Tuesday.
The programme is aimed at bringing stakeholders and information to the youth in Tsakani and Duduza.
The foundation’s founder, Thabang Xaba, said: “We are looking at the challenges of the youth such as unemployment, mental health, HIV/Aids and STIs, bullying and gangsterism and are trying to find ways to champion that.”
Xaba said most young people in the area don’t know that there are youth organisations where they can go to seek help and by attending the programme, it will assist them with information.
There will be stakeholders from health and social development among others who will be having conversations with the youth.
The programme starts at 09:00.
