CoE implements load reduction in Kwa-Thema

The excessive overloading of the network during peak hours in Kwa-Thema forced the CoE to implement load reduction since June 6.

The excessive overloading of the network during peak hours in Kwa-Thema forced the CoE to implement load reduction since June 6. The load reduction will continue until the grid stabilised.

The power supply to Kwa-Thema is currently at 60%. As such, load reduction becomes necessary.

The four-hour load reduction intervals are as follows:
– PA – Vergenoeg, Rest in Peace, Selcourt and interland feeders.
– B – Ext 2, 3 and Barcelona feeders.
– 08:00 until 12:00 – A
– 12:00 until 16:00 – B
– 16:00 until 20:00 – A

From 20:00 until 08:00, loads will be fixed but rotated daily between A and B.
