Kwa-Thema’s Ulinda Netball Club excels at Colgate Race
“They were encouraging each other and finished their run together as a team, after that they received mouthwashes, toothpaste, and other Colgate products.”
Kwa-Thema – Ulinda Netball Club participated in the 5km run at the Colgate Race held at Boksburg Stadium on Saturday.
The team finished the race in 37 minutes and 50 seconds. This was the team’s first race, winning prizes for their efforts.
The team’s coach, Velly Mokgabo, said, “During the race team members were encouraging each other to make it to the finishing line and to cross together as a team.”
Velly said that 5km is usually their Monday routine during training and wanted to see how her team would perform against other teams and athletes.
“I am proud of the team as they have proven that they take their training seriously because the time they took to finish the race is not bad at all, given the fact that it was also cold,” she said.
