Miss Youth Unified International 2023 finalist hopes to change lives

Namo wants to be the change she wants to see.

Tsakani – Miss Youth Unified International 2023 finalist Duduzile Namo hopes to bring the title home after making a difference in people’s lives.

Raised in Tsakani, Duduzile describes herself as an optimistic woman who positively looks at things and has a passion for helping others.

Duduzile (21) started modelling in 2021 at Figures Model Finesse International and graduated in August of that year.

“I got interested in the field because I enjoy modelling, and it is also a great field one can use for helping others, which is what I love, helping those who are needy,” she said.

Duduzile is collecting clothes, shoes, blankets, toiletries and money that she plans to donate to a local orphanage and old age homes.

“I also want to donate school uniforms and shoes to local primary schools. My biggest wish is to help local nyaope addicts who want to recover.”

With the community’s help, Duduzile believes she can make all of this happen because she is ready to serve the community and be the best in all she does.

Her daily motto is, ‘Those who are the happiest are those who do the most for others.’

“The pageant challenges me to become a better version of myself, so I believe change will not come if we wait for other people or some other time. We’re the ones we have been waiting for. We are the change we seek.

“I speak up and defend the rights of the poor and needy. I speak not for myself but for those without a voice,” she said.

Duduzile sees her future self as a professional model because it is her goal to be the one who represents brands and designers by wearing their clothing in photoshoots, commercials and on catwalks.

“I also believe, one day, I will become Miss SA,” concluded Duduzile.

To vote for her, follow her on her social media platforms by searching Duduzile Namo.

The voting lines are open till August 31.
